Shooting Australia Statement - High Performance Manager Tim Mahon

Shooting Australia High Performance Manager Tim Mahon will leave the organisation at the end of September to take up the position of General Manager, Team Performance with the Australian Commonwealth Games Association, Shooting Australia announced today.
"Tim has been a brilliant servant for the sport of shooting and the systems he has helped set up will see our program continue to improve for many, many years to come,” said Shooting Australia CEO Damien Marangon. "I am grateful for the blood, sweat and tears Tim has put into this role and the way he has done everything he can to make shooting a better sport."
The Australian Sports Commission recently commented that Shooting Australia’s high performance program has shown great leadership and “led the sport through significant change regarding its policies and procedures in high performance”. Tim has been a driving force behind this.
“Tim remains committed to our 2016 Rio Olympic Games campaign and is focused on ensuring that Shooting Australia’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes have the best possible preparation for their events,” continued Mr. Marangon. "We will miss Tim and his contribution, and we thank him for his leadership during a time of significant change."
