2016 Shooting Australia Awards of Excellence

The Shooting Australia Awards of Excellence function takes place in Sydney this evening, Friday 8 April. Not only will we be presenting the 2016 Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games Shooting Team Nominees, we also introduce the Ashley Adams Perpetual Trophy which will be presented to the inaugural SA Athlete of the Year Award winner.

Official of the Year

This year there are four nominees in this category.

  • Gleniss Lawrence - ACTA
  • Elaine Gilliver - PA
  • Owen Oliver - TRA
  • Jeff Day - NRAA

The winner of the 2016 Official of the Year Award is: Gleniss Lawrence.

 


Coach of the Year

This year there are two nominees in this category.

  • Kenneth (Ken) Asquith - TRA
  • Vince Mollica - ACTA

The winner of the 2016 Coach of the Year Award is: Ken Asquith.

Media Award

The winner of the 20156 Media Award is: The Hamish and Andy Show.

We want to thank the The Hamish and Andy Show for choosing our sport as part of Hamish and Andy’s “Fair and Reasonable Challenge”. This promoted our sport to a greater audience than we could have achieved alone and it showed that our sport is fun and inviting. It promoted our sport as an equal opportunity sport for all.
