Aiming4Gold 2016 Squad named

Shooting Australia today nominated the Aiming4Gold (A4G) squad for 2016. The squad of 48 includes 18 juniors under the age of 20.
Shooting Australia’s High Performance Manager Tim Mahon said the nominations were of a high quality.
“2015 was a consolidating year for Shooting Australia as we turn our attention to the Rio Olympics and Paralympic Games. I am confident those who have been nominated will build on the foundations and successes achieved over the last 12 months,” Mahon said.
A4G is Shooting Australia’s high performance program, a program designed to deliver on Australia’s Winning Edge performance goals – to win medals at events that matter and to assist athletes in making informed decisions, both on and off the shooting range.
The three categories of the A4G squad are:
A4G Performance Squad
Athletes in this squad are considered to be probable & possible medallists at the 2016 Olympic/Paralympic Games.
A4G Academy Squad
Athletes in this squad are considered to be probable 2016 Olympic / Paralympic Games team members and/or possible Gold-Coast 2018 medallists (if applicable) and that an athlete shows a clear capacity to improve their competition performance in 2016.
A4G Futures Squad
Athletes in this squad are considered to be probable Gold Coast 2018 and Tokyo 2020 team members and that an athlete shows a clear capacity to improve their competition performance in 2016.
